FINAL DAY: Only Hours Left—Ask for Yours Today!
Friday, August 17, 2018 The Best Places in the World to Retire in 2018... 24 Countries Compared, Contrasted, Ranked, and Rated—Full Report and Analysis Yours FREE with This Special Offer
Dear International Living Reader,
This special-offer countdown is coming to an end today. This is your last chance to request a FREE copy of our brand-new 2018 Global Retirement Index, with this special offer here.
I won't remind you again. The deadline at midnight tonight is a firm one—no extensions. We have to give the recipient names to our "mail house" and so yours will either be on the list—or not—depending on what you do today.
I hope you'll take me up on this special offer. I feel confident you'll be pleased when you do.
If you're interested in finding that "just right" place for yourself abroad, there's no better (or better-value) tool to point you in the right direction than our 2018 Global Retirement Index.
Whether you're looking for a friendly, good-value city...a sandy beach retreat...or a cooler-weather escape...this Index can point you to your best options on the planet today.
If it's a European retreat you've always dreamed of...we have six good options for you. In the one that tops the list, expats say life is both more affordable than back home and more mellow, too. There's a well-established café culture, and a slower pace.
Another big plus is the affordability. As our correspondent there reports, "My husband Keith and I find we spend about a third of what we did to live in the States. For example, a simple lunch of soup, main course, beverage, dessert, and coffee runs about $10. A taxi start is about $4. Monthly utilities for a two- or three-bedroom apartment average $100 a month. We pay just $1,000 a month for a four-bedroom, four-bath home half an hour from [the capital]."
Rated the third-safest country in the world, this nation is not only secure, but beautiful, convenient, and rich with things to occupy you—from beaches to museums to theater.
You might be pleasantly surprised by the appeal of several nations in Asia today, too. In one that makes the Index top ten this year, for instance, a couple can live luxuriously on $2,000 a month—or less. You can understand how when, as one transplant from Chicago explains, "Our apartment, that we rent for $750 a month, is a 2,200-square-foot, three-bedroom, four-bathroom condo overlooking the sea as well as the jungle. We can see the monkeys cascading along the rooftops of the neighboring homes and from our couch we can watch the sea eagles diving into the ocean for a quick catch of the day. Sometimes I feel like I live in a National Geographic magazine."
Closer to home, in our #1 pick for 2018, you're just a handful of hours from the States. A couple can live comfortably on less than $2,500 a month—and on a budget like that you could afford to eat out a few times a week, hire a housekeeper to clean for you, go to the beach, relax while your gardener takes care of the yard. It may sound far-fetched, but that really is the sort of lifestyle you could afford.
With miles of beaches, cool highland cities, lakeside getaways, and more, our top finisher has a lot to recommend it. The infrastructure is strong, lots of people speak English, and medical care is excellent and costs half or even less what you'd pay in the States. It's easy to gain residence...or simply stay for a few months as a part-time snowbird...
This country is a place with quiet character...a low-key, steady sort of locale—long stable democracy—that provides a reliable backdrop for a life that's easy, low-stress, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Request your copy of our new 2018 Global Retirement Index here now, and we'll send you all of the details.
Don't wait. This special offer disappears at midnight, and then that's it. We won't make it again.
Sincerely,
Jackie Flynn

P.S. It should be said: In an era when most news outlets have slashed their budgets and cut their overseas bureaus...and at a time when "fake news" has made it harder than ever to ferret out the truth...we put our 2018 Global Retirement Index together "the old-fashioned way."
That is to say: We put boots on the ground...just as we have each of the last 27 years we've published this country comparison.
Is it subjective? You bet.
We rely on the informed judgment and real-world experience of in-country expats...folks just like you who have made the move and learned all their lessons the hard way. They live in the countries they're expert in. And they've been there long enough to get under the skin of their host nation and provide us with real understanding about what it's like to live there.
As I've said before, where you end up is really as much about feeling as it is thought. When it comes right down to it, only you can decide what will make you happy.
But we can point you to the places that are likely to suit you best. (And be easiest on your wallet, too.)
Our annual Global Retirement Index lists the best places in the world to retire overseas today.
It'll point you to the places most worth your attention...and, most importantly, save you the trouble, time, frustration, and expense of trying to figure that out on your own.
And right now—through this special deal we have on the table for a few more hours only—we'll send you a FREE copy of the Index.
All we ask in exchange is that you take a look at International Living magazine. I feel confident you'll like what you see. But, if you don't, it's not a problem. Just let us know and we'll send you a full refund—no questions, no fuss—on all un-mailed issues. No matter what, you get to keep—
PLUS a second special bonus, too...
Click here to take advantage of this special deal and get your 2018 off to a smart, productive, retirement-saving start.
This is your LAST CHANCE to put your name on the list to receive IL's 2018 Global Retirement Index. This deal ends at midnight tonight.
